Jerome is currently Under-7 Championship India No. 4

Deepan Chakravarthy

Deepan Chakravarthy won the Asian Junior Chess Championship held at Colombo. He represented India in the World Under 16 held at Greece. He also participated in the World Under 19 Championship.


Ashwini
Ashwini is currently Girls Under-8 Asia No.3 and World No.7

Mugil Jayavel
Mugil Jayavel is currently Boys Under-10 World No. 27
 
  • M.R.Venkatesh represented ECC and qualified for National 'A' Championship.

  • The ECC team comprising Ebenezer Joseph(captain), Deepan Chakravarthy, M.R.Venkatesh, R.R.Laxman and C.J.Arvind stood a creditable fifth position, in the National Team Chess championship held in Nagpur during the year. ECC stood ahead of every other academy in India proving its supremacy.

  • Rajasurya and Ilayabarathi represented ECC in the National Under-15 Girls and Boys team respectively in Hyderabad.

  • I. Aquino stood eleventh in the National Under-7 Boys Championship held in Lucknow. Tarun Murali and Abhinav Raja represented ECC in the National Under-9 Championship held in Lucknow.

  • M.P.Vijay represented ECC in the National Under-11 Championship held in Calcutta.

  • Avinash Suresh stood fourth in the Under-9 district championship and he also participated in the State Under-9 Championship held in Thirupur along with Tarun and Aquino.

  • Akshay, Giridhar, Tarun and Aquino participated in the National Under-11 Championship held during May 2002, while Humrudha participated in girls Under-11 Championship held in Chennai, India.

  • Deepak and Daniel participated in the Under-13 championship held in Chennai.

  • The following players participated in some of the inter-school championship held in Chennai. Abhinav Chandran, Aishwaraya, Arvind R.Vyas, Harihara Sudhan, Priya, Rajarajan, Siddarth S., Bharat, Vasanth S, R Vikram, Rahul S, Prasanna, Sudharshan, Vasantha Rubavarman and Priyamvadha.
